Genesis I classroom encompass babies from 6 weeks of age up through 12 months. There is so much occurring in the first months of life, so many brain connections that are being established. Developmental skills are growing day by day. This is also a time when they learn that the adults in their environments care for them.
Infants have a variety of individual needs. While our littlest ones are mostly eating and sleeping, our older friends are busy exploring in many different ways. We follow strict health and safety practices, including sanitizing toys and keeping food prep areas and diapering area totally separate. Parents received daily reports about what they did throughout the day via Brightwheel app. When supplies are needed, this will also be sent via Brightwheel app. We periodically complete observations about your child to ensure they are meeting their milestones. It is important for us to have information about new things your child is doing at home so that our partnership works more efficiently.
Babies are not only fed and changed to meet their basic needs, but are also talked to and interacted with throughout the day. Adult interaction in playing, singing, and reading with babies is pivotal for their intellectual, social, and spiritual development.
Each child will have their own crib. We provide all bedding, bibs, toys, etc. Per state regulations, no toys, animals, or blankets are allowed in the cribs. When babies are sleep, they are placed on their backs. Once they start to roll over themselves, they put themselves in all sorts of positions.
When your child is ready for food, you may supply that food. If you would want to take advantage of our wonderful meals that we serve, please let us know. We utilize a baby bullet to prepare veggies and fruit for our babies.
